Profile _______________________________________________________________________

Background Information. I began working with children with Autism nearly 3 years ago. Initially I received some basic training and experience through my field experience hours, and progressed from there through employment referrals and recommendations. I then moved on to collaborate with Broward College's Disability Services assisting the Disability Specialist in providing accommodations to college students.I transitioned from being a specialist there, to operating my own classroom at a private school that specializes in children who have Autism. Throughout the course of a full calendar school year, I have worked with several families. I have worked with children as young as 5 years old up to 35 years old. I currently attend school where I am pursuing a Bachelor's degree, for Special Education. I intend on using this degree, along with my personal experience, to become a certified Speech pathologist and Behavior Analyst. I am very dedicated to my families, my students and my clients' needs always come first. I have a natural ability to work with people as well. I am passionate about what I do and enjoy working in the field and helping others.
