Guest guest
I've been trying to find a new primary care. It's hard here where I live because we have had 5 or 6 physicians leave the mountain this year. We lost several primary/family docs, two internists, a cardiologist... and then there is only a neurologist for men. A new female doctor just started practice in the next town but they don't take my insurance. What a pain! SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
Believe it or not Kate but it's worse up here. When at least 25% of our population don't have a PCP and yet we have a medical teaching university, something is very wrong! I spent several years waiting for hours in walkin clinics and finally lucked out when I got in with my PCP. He came out of retirement ... his diploma says he graduated in 1953! We don't have a neuro, nor would you believe a radiologist! Tests are sent to Toronto which blew my mind! A few weeks ago, 's daughter-in-law's mother had killer head and neck pains but the hospital said "headache, take a few advil". Kim took her back 2 days later and *demanded* ... she's not timid in the least! ... they do something. Turned out she had been bleeding for a while from an aneurysm on her brain. No idea who did the operation but it was touch and go for a bit. Btw Sharon, a neuro that only treats men or do you mean a urologist? ... hugs, Cait not doing so good> > To: Group > > > > > I'm not doing so good. Guest guest
If I was willing to travel 3 hours (I'm not) then I would have all the choice I could possibly want. But I wanted to be here even though I knew physicians were fewer and further between. Don't worry about me. This was a better day for me even though I was really busy. I think I'm on the mend! Guest guest
Apparently, the male neuro was 'abusing' women sexually, I believe,am I correct, Sharon? That's terrible about your health care. I had no idea. I can't believe youhave to travel so far to get tests done. Horrible about the woman withthe brain bleed; they could have had a HUGE lawsuit on their hands--or are you not able to sue up there also?Take care of yourself dear Cait!love , Kate not doing so good> > > To: Group > > > > > > > I'm not doing so good. Guest guest
Happy to hear that you're on the mend Sharon... I'm thinking that some of this has to do with "monthly" cycles.. My niece just loves to tell me about her hysterectomy and how she doesn't have.. I Tell her to whoa.. back up a bit.. she might not have the friendly visit.. but she still has the hormonal crap that goes on EVERY month.. causin' they left the ovaries.. Factory is still there.. Oven is gone.... (She then paid attention and realized she still has the mood stuffs)... Told , the other morning on his way out the door to work (Saturday).. that.. I was pretty sure that I'd turned 52 and immediately began menopause... started packing... Guest guest
I remembered that after the fact.. But here in PA.. I don't think he'd even be allowed to treat men.. and dat's the reason a whole lot of doctors keep a nurse close by when in the exam room with a single female.. around here anyway.. I seriously think his license should have been revokticated.. Guest guest
rofl.... I explained it in another email. He's the doc who got in trouble because he touched a female patient. He was arrested and the medical board restricted his license to only men. SharonThis email is a natural hand made product.
