Guest guest
Braden has had intrahepatic duct dilation for years as well as mural thickening of his common bile duct walls for years. He had strictures in his common bile duct that needed to be dilated then he needed a series of stents for a year and then with the last ERCP they made a HUGE opening when they did his endoscopic sphincterotomy to establish bile flow. His last imaging studies (before today) showed that his intrahepatic duct walls were sclerosing and that the left lobe intrahepatic ducts were dilated. This time the intrahepatic ducts were not dilated- but this was just an ultrasound- not an MRCP or ERCP. The radiologist said that maybe his intrahepatic ducts were stabilized ?? Does that make sense or could the ducts maybe be closing up ? I know the question is probably impossible to answer without more info but I am wondering if it sounds reasonable that the intrahepatic dilation has stabilized ?
