Guest guest
Marcia – YOU NEED TO FIND OUT MORE INFORMATION. I have PN, for more than two years, with many injections, surgery, PT, Vestibulectomy, trigger point injections into the vagina. You name it I have had it. So far with no (or very little) success on any of it. To hit the pudendal never you have to be one millimeter away EXACTLY, and has to be done with an X-ray. Is he using an X-ray? If not, do not have it done – you are really taking a chance. The pudendal nerve is nothing to fool around with. Maybe what he means is that he is only hitting it in the vaginal area – more of a trigger point injection. And that would be OK and maybe help. I have been getting trigger point injections all around the entrance to the vagina and they have helped for about a month. nne From: VulvarDisorders [mailto:VulvarDisorders ] On Behalf Of Marcia Gallas Sent: Friday, June 13, 2008 11:00 AM To: VulvarDisorders Subject: Re: V V or PN? Help! I don't want unneccessary surgery! Hi Dee: Yeah, I was pretty perplexed that the doctor agreed to do the vestibulectomy. He doesn't know it YET but that idea is now off the table. I'm pretty miserable and afraid of getting the steroid injection into the pudendal nerve. Has anyone here had that particular procedure? I am to use a numbing creme an hour before the appointment. I haven't made the appointment yet. I just know I do NOT want to deal with this for the rest of my life!! Marcia
