Guest guest
Hi – I haven’t been reading the messages for awhile, so maybe you have already answered this, but I was wondering how your appointment went and what the new doctor said. nne From: VulvarDisorders [mailto:VulvarDisorders ] On Behalf Of lulubuns Sent: Tuesday, June 10, 2008 2:21 PM To: VulvarDisorders Subject: seeing a doctor during your period? Does anyone know if it's ok to see a doctor when you have your period? I have waiting MONTHS to see the doctor at Stanford University who specializes in vulvar disorders. I just started my period and my appointment is in two days. I don't want to cancel the appointment because I would have to wait another 3 months to see the doctor, and this is the only specialist in my area. I know it seems really gross to see a doctor when you're bleeding but maybe they are used to it...does anyone know if this is ok? Will the doctor be grossed out? Will she refuse to examine me? I am going to be seen for vestibulitis so I'm assuming she can still do the horrible Q-tip test and doesn't really need to examine the inside of me. Anyone have any ideas about this, is it ok for me to keep the appointment?
