It has been almost 3 months since I first saw a vulvar specialist. She

put me on Estrace 1x day and 25mg Nortryptiline(sp?), for VVS.

I stopped the nortriptiline after 2 months since I couldn't stand the

side effects, and it I didn't think it helped with the discomfort.

I have noticed alittle bit of improvement in the last 3 months though,

but have a question..

- When I look at the vestibule, I can still clearly see the red " dots "

and what look like small slits in the skin. The Dr. told me these were

inflamed gland openings. I also have an area where the skin continues

to look very red and raw. That area doesn't always hurt, but sometimes

does flare up. The Other " dots " and " splits " tend to hurt only if

touched and not all the time, although once in a while those flare up

also. So finally to my question... Is the Estrace cream enough to make

the gland openings simmer down and heal? Or is there something else, in

addition to the Estrace that would help?

Thanks!

Has your doctor ever mentioned LS to you? Do you have any

itching? I know someone who had the “slits” in the skin and she had LS. She

used Estrace but also Clobetasol three times a week.

Hi,

No, I don't have any itching what-so-ever. What is Clobetasol?

Thanks!
