Guest guest
Whole Foods in San is carrying the raw milk in quarts for $2.89, I bought one quart and a quart of keifer for the same price. They still have the same raw cream at $6.99. I drank a glass of the milk with dinner, it had flavor, but the more interesting thing is my dog really, badly wanted the milk, more so than the sausage. He was very insistent about getting some, forgetting his manners. This is a new behavior for him. I also found our Sunday Farmers Market to be much larger, including more fish vendors, the market managers will not allow whole fish, only fillets, I found out. There were several dairy vendors, but all were pasteurized, but they were all claiming to be organic, hormone free and no medication. Some fantastic cheese choices from both cow and goat milk. The signs are out at the local marina for fresh, local caught salmon. QUESTION at the market, some different varieties of fish, including salmon, were smoked and jerked. Does either of these preservation techniques have any NT issues? The skin is not included with these fish filets, at least not very much. Is that removing most of the benefits to fish eating? So now I can get grass fed beef, fresh fish, raw milk and cheese and properly grown, pesticide free, if not always organic produce. I feel like this NT can be accomplished out here on the left coast.
