Guest guest
There is a heck of a big difference between typical kids laughing and squealing while they are involved in a pleasurable activity and an individual with autism waking up in the middle of the night having uncontrollable bouts of laughing-crying-laughing- crying behavior. Unfortunately the latter is manic behavior familiar to many of us who have kids on the spectrum. For my son, if he exhibits extremely hyper and over-the-top laughing it will be shortly followed by an episode of aggressive and screaming behavior. Thankfully, these experiences are few and far between these days. Sent from my iPad
Guest guest
, You truly have your hands full. I really admire all that you are able to accomplish with the cooking/baking, web postings and your own household plus all the issues we have going on now with the waiver. Thanks for all your help. Guest guest
Thank you for educating me about this. Our kids are all different from one another. I've only experienced regular laughing from my daughter. Sometimes it is apparently for a reason only she is aware of, but it's not related to manic behavior. If this ever does start to be an issue for her, I'm glad others have shared their solutions so I will know what to do. This list is very helpful to us parents. Thank you to everyone who participates. > > > >Â > >There is a heck of a big difference between typical kids laughing and squealing while they are involved in a pleasurable activity and an individual with autism waking up in the middle of the night having uncontrollable bouts of laughing-crying-laughing- crying behavior. > > > >Unfortunately the latter is manic behavior familiar to many of us who have kids on the spectrum.
