Lulu,I went to Rhonda K. for 3 (2-hr) sessions last fall. She is 9 hours away. So, my hubby rented an SUV and I laid in the back while he drove. While there, he filmed the sessions and we asked her a million and one questions so we could review everything at home. So...when funds are limited, or the good PT's are too far away, we do the best we can do. Just a suggestion.... take care, Chellelulubuns wrote: How many times did you go to physical therapy there- did you just go afew times and learn how to do the techniques yourself at home, or didyou have to keep going a regular basis? (I am on disabilty and onlyhave enough $ for groceries so I would need to borrow money for anyphysical therapy I do.)

Thanks, both Molly and Lindsey have convinced me to go to the PT in

San Francisco. My first appointment will be this Thursday. I hope that

just a few sessions will be able to teach my boyfriend and I how to do

the PT at home on a daily basis. At first I didn't understand how PT

could help but after reading up on it I now understand that many of my

symptoms (vaginal, urinary, and rectal pain) are all caused by pelvic

floor dysfunction. I really hope physical therapy will be the answer

I've been looking for- any improvement would make me happy.

My PT evaluation went well, I'm hurting pretty bad but I guess you

gotta be tough to go through PT. I'll be going every week for 2

months, 30 minute sessions. They will teach my boyfriend how to do the

PT on me. The therapist is very nice and they have a cute office dog

which made me smile :) The evaluation showed I have a " short,weak "

pelvic floor muscle, which causes many of my symptoms.

That's great, lulu! Stay strong and determined...and you will get there! With PT, there will be many ups and downs along the way, flaring after a session is normal...but just hang in there. Did you see Steph or Liz? If you are able - Print out a copy of Molly's self PT Instructions...you will understand them better as you have more sessions. Those are some great things you can do at home. Keep us posted on the progress... Gentle Hugs ~Chelle ;-) PS - Did they introduce you to skin rolling? Keep some ice packs handy. My favorite is using a small bag of veggies wrapped in a towel! ;)
