Hi : I don't think WAP said that the faster the grass is growing, the more activator X will be the end product. I think he did say that a young, rapidly growing wheat or rye grass was good fodder for producing activator X. I think WAP would agree with Albrecht's explanation of what factors would determine the amount of activator X end product. Albrecht explains the reason why the spring and fall grasses produced the brighest yellow butter was because there was less sunshine. As a result, the plants produced less carbohydrate and hence had a better protein to carbohydrate ratio. The major factor controlling the amount of activator X would not be the speed at which the grass is growing, but rather the fertility of the soil that the grass is growing in. Albrecht gives many examples of how the same type of plant can vary widely in its nutrient content. Thus the type of plant in the pasture is also not as important as the soil fertility.
