I understand the new guidelines won't go into effect until spring 2013 with the

next printing. Is this accurate? Also, does any child with PDD NOS automatically

'convert' to ASD, or will parents have to jump through hoops to get their

child's PDD NOS diagnosis redefined under the new guidelines? New evaluations,

etc? This will effect IEP's, medwaiver, and anything else when PDD NOS was

ignored, and autism was the only criteria for services. I think it a BIG

positive and a step in the right direction....FINALLY :)
