Ilene, there is a Dr. Bruce that has an office in Broward Blvd, a block from Broward Mall.  Many people recomends him, including my Pediatrician.  He saw both my kids (6 with Autism and 4 1/2) last year.  I did not have a good experience mostly because his bedside manner is too abrupt for kids and ending with the fact that he misdiagnosed both my kids and I confirmed this by seeking a second opinion from Dr. Dorfman in Weston  (great with kids and parents and the appointments are easy to get).   Besides this, getting an appointment with Dr.  takes months in advance.  Hope this helps.

They areca reputable peduatric group. Also located in Boca. I highly recommend,

Dr. Friedman in Boca. My son was misdiagnised by a Dr. in Browatd. Dr. Friedmans

staff works well with kids with autism and diseases of the eye. For routine

check ups, Dr. /Guthries group is fine, as long as you see either of them.

Dr. ine Buck in Miami Shores is a developmental and behavioral optometrist. She is a fellow of the COVD. Other "eye drs" don't compare to putting the entire visual function piece in place for these special kids. Seeing if a kid needs glasses or not is not the appropriate assessment so be very careful to find someone who will do a thorough visual function exam which should take several hours. Good luck to everyone.

Dorfman is a great doctor. I have taken my kids there in the past and I think they have an office in Pembroke Pines too.
