Contact the National Vulvodynia Association. They have listings of

doctors all over the country. I would try to get their past

newsletters so you can read who is currently writing about various

versions of Vulvodynia that pertain to you. There is no one set

treatement since most women seem to have various versions ie never

ending yeast feeling or one sided nerve pain so you may have to do some

calling and research to find the right match for you. In NYC, there

are about 3 or 4 specialists but they each tend to focus on different

areas ie Dr. Ledger believes that there is a imflammatory histamine

response and treats women with anti histamines.

Hope this helps.

I would think that Dr. Ken Renney in Houston would be a good place to start. You can google him and I'm sure get lots of info. You can also check out www.pudendal.info and post a question about him. More importantly, he should have the name of a good PT that can evaluate your pelvic floor. Usually good PTs are better at PF evaluation than doctors.

Hi Becky,I'm a little slow responding...I'm not sure who to tell you to go to, or who is the best, but I sure understand getting to the point you will go anywhere to find help! Vulvar pain stinks! I say keep asking on the groups who has a vulvar doc that has really helped them (or a PT). Try the NVA, you can get a list for your area and surrounding states when you join. We have some practitioners listed in our Database on the homepage. Just scroll to the bottom of this email and you will find the link for the homepage. I hope you find relief soon. Take Care, ChellePS - What are your symptoms? I've gotten more help on the groups than I have from any one doc. tmb9717 wrote: I have had valvular pain for almost

I saw a lot of people and had the best results with Dr. in

Rochester, NY. He's

been treating vulvar pain since the 80's, he's compassionate and knowledgeable,

and he

doesn't give up. I was dumped by a couple of docs before him and he just stuck

with me.

i had surgery with him, but that's not the only treatment he works with.
