Guest guest
All summer long, has had these drenching sweats. I keep bath towels on the bed and change them out at least once a night. He has lost so much water that he has had IV fluids about once a week for the last 5 weeks. So now he is recovering from an exploratory laparotomy (he's doing pretty well) and having the sweats in the hospital. When I asked our surgeon if I should be worried he said, " It's always good to be worried. " , and left it at that. Our hepatologist attributed it to the radiation, but no one seems to be worried except for me. Is anyone else having this? Guest guest
I know with your husband having CCa- your situation is different from ours. However, when my husband is having what he calls a “liver attack” he always has night sweats. It seemed especially bad if he had eaten high fat foods that day. When his liver was infected when he was first diagnosed- he would have the night sweats and a fever. When he went on antibiotics- it seemed to clear up. The only exception is when he eats fatty foods. (He’s a meat and potato kind of guy so- convincing him to not eat fatty foods is hard.) I think we all understand where you are coming from. This disease is frustrating & baffling, if it is anything. I hope and pray you guys find relief- Him from the discomforts of the disease and for you, some peace as you care for him. Guest guest
They have been giving extra potassium in the hospital and the sweats have stopped! After months of constant sweats they just stopped today. I don't think it is a fluke. Ok, so I am hoping it is not a fluke because they have been so troublesome. Anyway, I just had to share, because...... you know.... I'm excited and I don't know anyone else who would care or even remotely understand. Thanx for all your support.
