Guest guest
It maybe to late for me to get any good response before in the morning but here it goes... I have vulvodynia.. I havent been able to tolorate any of the meds like ellerville or noroutin.. Estrace burns like heck, my insurance denied lyrica. Anyway I'm at a total stand still. before summer I dropped to about a 2 in pain level. But since it's gotten hot again I have been miserable and back to my level 10. Peeing absolutely kills me. Im at a stndstill on my docs to. I'm still doing PT 1x a week. but no meds. I called my doc today and shes going to see me in the morning. Dr in Charlotte. What I wanted to ask you girls is do you have any suggestions on what I can ask for as far as something for the pain. I don't think she does compounding meds. But shes pretty open about things.. I just feel like it's going to be a wasted trip if I don't know what to say other than Im freakin on fire. Lee Ann
Guest guest
Lee Ann,When I saw Libby in April - I requested she send in a Rx to Pete Heuseman in MO. He is the compounding Pharmacist that several on here use. It sounds like the Estrace inert ingredients may have been the problem for you. I re-sent Dee's story in today and if you read it you'll find that she still had burning when she first used the Estrace because the skin was in such bad shape. Anyway, if you tell Libby how the Estrace burns, I'd say she or Marrise will call in a compounded Rx. The problem with getting it somewhere local would be them not using a soothing base. Anyway, it's just a thought. I hope you feel better soon.... ~Chelle
Guest guest
So sorry your pain level has flared. Ultram is a pain med that works well for nerve pain and is not narcotic based. I use it for pain in various places but I think it works best for pain that is nerve generated. It lasts about 6 hr. You can take it with Tylenol to boost its effect. Otherwise using tea bag compresses or some women use aveno. Using crisco or A & D to soothe things and a rinse bottle to rinse after you pee might help. Hope this helps. > > It maybe to late for me to get any good response before in the morning but here it goes... > > I have vulvodynia..
