Well, I just sent the yahoo group page

to a gentleman that Earl met while racing.. Earl tells me that he

still tries to race his own car.. but didn't make the eliminators over

this past weekend.. the heat was too much for him..

Earl gave him my email address (but I haven't heard from him as of yet..

but Earl could have given him the wrong address).. so I wrote him this

morning and invited him on over to have a looksee with our group.. I

hope he joins..

I will

tell him.. though he's not Nacar.. He ran the Chrysler Classic

Series (drag racing) again this year.. Unfortunately, after

being the Sportsman class champion last year.. he wasn't this

year, and I'm not sure where he actually placed, since they

haven't posted the points from the last race yet.. They couldn't

get the car to behave the first half of the season.. makes it

hard to "get on the tree" and stay consistent at "cutting the

eyes" out of the other guy..

I DO miss drag racing.. and I'd love to go to the track to watch

him race.. but the heat on that asphalt would be a super duper

wipe out for me.. and then my being there would be a super duper

distraction for him as well.. So I'll have to settle for

pictures.. and stories.. and videos if he ever brings them

around.. LOL...

And yeah.. where did the summer go.. I didn't see much of it,

that's for sure...
