Guest guest
Hi! 's doctor (at Univ. of Michigan)told us that he suspects that she might not have Autoimmune hepatitis. She has hardly any scarring on her liver. He is saying that she has psc in the small ducts. She is having an MRI to see if the large ducts are also bad. I thought psc is only the large ducts not the small ones. What is different about is that she does not have cirrhosis, jaundice, weight loss, pain, and severe itching which are symptoms of psc. She does have portal hypertension and severe bouts of nausea and can't stop vommiting, so she takes Zofran. They said she has cyclic vomiting syndrome, but I wonder if it not cvs but psc. I hope I am making myself clear. I am sooo confused!!!!!
Guest guest
, On the PSC support website under database there is a PSC symptoms table where members have rated their symptoms. Some have rated nausea as severe and others have rated it as never getting it. So sabrina's nausea maybe caused by PSC but there might be some other cause. We as a group are praying for you and . Guest guest
Hi . I will be praying for as well. My biopsy came back nearly perfect. There was no cirrhosis at all. The only thing they found were some cells near my small bile ducts that indicate inflammation going on (polymorphing nucleocytes). I had an MRCP (a special MRI) done and it showed narrowing of my common bile duct. So they did and ERCP and found that my common bile duct wasn't narrowed....the only ducts that were affected were the small ones (for now) and I indeed have PSC. I have nausea sometimes. Not always but I do have it some and I have zofran on hand to use as needed. And I have itchiness when I'm not taking urso. I don't know if that info will help or not but I just wanted to share with you. I hope that they find some definative answers for you guys!
