Guest guest
Yes I worked for the state. The thing is I do get a set amount each month that would help pay for the state insurance but even with that money the insurance through the state would be too expensive. I do however use some of that money for my dental insurance and vision (for cost of glasses) through my employer.Last year I didn't use the state insurance because I had some bills I had to catch up on. So I chose an medicare supplement. I screwed up though and didn't have rx coverage. I had planned to go back to state insurance again this year. But I won't do that! lol I will probably stay with the Humana I have right now but will see about switching to Humana with rx coverage. Thanks so much for sending those links and I will look them over.hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. That sounds like they've COBRA'd you out of the group plan with those prices.. Didn't you work for the state??? It's a shame that you aren't here in PA.. cause then, if I'm not sorely mistaken, you would have had benefits paid for you BY the state for the rest of your life.. I suspect that UPMC for Life is only here in the Pittsburgh area.. but doesn't your state have a list of Medicare Supplementals for the state somewhere??.. Well.. I found this: http://www.id.state.az.us/publications/2010_Medigap_Prem_Comp_Final.pdf and this: http://www.id.state.az.us/consumerlifehealth.html#seniorhealth and this is the main site where I found those two from above: http://www.id.state.az.us/consumerlifehealth.html If you don't get something out of those.. let me know and I'll see if I can't dig deeper and find something else that might help.. HUGS |)onna I got the notice from my retiree benefits department. I had been forewarned that the costs would go up but I was shocked at how much! I have two choices. One is $442 a month and the other one is $789 a month. Whew! So I won't be able to afford my insurance though my employer. I simply cannot afford either of those. That is just insurance for a single person with Medicare. Granted the insurance through my retiree benefits is really good insurance... but those prices are incredible. Before I could get that insurance for around $150 a month. hugs Sharon This email is a natural hand made product.
