Good job, Joyce! Hopefully, this will call some attention to the cuts in services that are going on at this moment. I fear that more moms will be dropping their kids off at the hospital or wherever as the state continues the process of discontinuing PCA services

Thank you, . They wanted the view of a parent with autism to make the viewers understand how the pressure could make a mother so desperate to do such a thing. It was not planned, I had no time to prepare my answers ahead of time, and obviously they had to cut most of the dialogue to fit the time frame. The 1-800-9-AUTISM number that is given at the end of the story is the toll free number for UM-NSU CARD, which was tagged with permission of Dr. Alessandri, the executive director. If you missed the news last night, the story and the video can be watched below. Click on the photo of the boy, the commercial will run for about 15 seconds and then the story will start.
