Guest guest
How often do you think an ASD child should be tested for food allergies? We did the test over a year ago.....He just turned 3, so we tested him when he just turned 2. It was the one that tested 95 foods (can't remember what it's called). He had high numbers for all dairy and garlic. Wheat wasn't high, but we still do a GFCF diet. Also I've never removed soy and I know alot of people autmatically remove soy when they start the diet, but the test showed no problem with it. Just wondering if we should test again to see if he's become allergic/sensitive to any new foods. When I asked his doctor if we should test again, she said no need to. But I've read in many of the books, that kids develop new allergies frequently. Do you all get your kids tested for food allergies more than once or just do your own elimination challenges with different foods?

Guest guest
when you say bad reaction do you mean behavioral or physical/biological? What are some signs that you notice? Yes I think it would be a good idea to test again. Thanks! > > my son was such a gut kid and i am always paranoid about his diet...feeding him the wrong thing ect.. > for the most part i have learned to see what food causes bad reactions....but i think at least once a year if not twice a year if you CAN afford it....to see where you are...it is a great tool...and i am not big on tests... > would love to get my son another test see where he is.... > > > ________________________________ > > To: mb12valtrex > Sent: Thursday, December 15, 2011 1:52 PM > Subject: Question about food allergy testing > > >  > How often do you think an ASD child should be tested for food allergies?
