Guest guest
Glomer,I know some women use Metformin to regulate their cycles and help with Insulin Resistance and PCOS, but I've never heard of it being used to help with yeast -- but that doesn't mean it can't *grin*. Do you have problems with irregular cycles or insulin resistance? Hang in there...~Chelleglomer1977 wrote: Hi ,Thanks for thinking of me! I used Nystatin years ago (all preparations) and, again, it worked for a while. I had a phone appointment with my doctor yesterday and we're going to try Lamisil, as well as test for lyme. I am crossing my fingers! Also, has anyone out there diagnosed with insulin resistance used metformin (glucophage) and noticed any improvement in yeast symptoms? Thanks so much,Glomer
Guest guest
Hi Chelle, I do have insulin resistance and my doctor thinks that may be _part_ of why I'm so prone to yeast. I emailed her last night asking if she thought metformin might help and she said it's worth a shot. If it helps, I will certainly let folks know! Take care, Glomer Hi , > > Thanks for thinking of me!
