Hi Cait,....its my right leg/foot that is my worse side and I can't bend my knee and leg without help now. There's been times when my knee use to buckle. After some serious falls I never go anywhere without holding on to something. Plus I can't trust the strength in my legs to get me from here to there. My legs use to be the strongest part on me. I swam alot and walked everywhere, so to have them be so weak now has been an adjustment to say the least.

The foot and leg are swollen now, and Steve has to massage them to get the fluid moving otherwise it just aches and aches.

As far as the spasms, they will start in any time I sit or lay for any length of time. I think its called clonus when there are contractions that will cause them to stiffen before they can be moved. I get it all the way up into my arm and hand now too. Even the slightest touch, or sound can set it off. It doesn't last long, maybe 10-30 secs, but if it goes too tight it can stretch out the tendons and ligaments and cause quite a bit of pain. I have to really concentrate to try to stop it before it goes into a hard contraction. Some times I can as long as I don't have any distractions. The worse times is when I first wake up and Steve goes to lift that leg so I can get out of bed. Some times it will happen if I move in bed to adjust my position. I can only sleep on my back now. UGH!

, I can't bend my right ankle either. I use to not be able to move my toes, but they got better somehow. Maybe because I kept trying, plus I was doing some hamstring exercizes, and that may have helped? As far as walking on that side I walk with my foot turned to the side. I shuffle as to not swing my leg out as it was causing all kinds of hip pain. I notice my heel doesn't come down sometimes when I go to sit down.

I hope your tooth is feeling better soon, and you get your internet fixed soon as well. :-)

Hugs and Love, Jackie

May the peace of God be with you...the love of Jesus enfold you...and the Spirit of Christ fill you.

Sorry about the toothache .. they can be worse than having a baby :(. Here's hopes for Himself to find a job. I know what you mean about him being the kind who can't just "do nothing' and stay home!

As for your leg, I think I know what you mean. My right one (bad side) doesn't bend anymore without a great deal of effort. If I decide to lay on the couch or bed, I physically have to lift the darn thing. Yet I can be doing something and suddenly it's like the knee gives out. I better be near something to grab onto then!

My heel doesn't touch the ground either. It's like I'm rolling my toes to try and grab whatever surface I'm walking on. I wasn't even aware of it until pointed it out. The legs and my back hurt but my night spasms haven't been around for quite a while. Think I'd rather have spasms than cramps tho.

Good luck with the Etsey shop! Have you thought about showing some of your designs to a few shops. Once you get your foot in the door, you'll have Hoffman calling! You're a great designer ... hugs, Cait

Been reading along, but somehow never managed to stay "sat" long enough toformulate replies...Prayers for everyone, especially Chuck and nne and everyone who'snot feeling well, and Sharon's poor sore eyeballs!Yay! for everybody with good news!Himself is still job-hunting, sigh - has a lot of applications/resumesout, hopefully we'll hear something soon - he just ain't any good at stayinghome and unoccupied, and since he gets a small retirement check from themilitary unemployment is almost non-existant... Thank goodness ourvolunteer firemen get paid here (up to 800 hours, anyway) so there's somemoney coming in...Been busybusybusy proofreading embroidery charts and stitching models, inhopes of getting the Etsy store up and running soon. Been hunting a"better" internet for us as well - our dial-up has a download of only about26 kbps, which means every time somebody sends me

interesting pictures, myemail gets "stuck" and crashes. Just discovered we can't get wireless, since we live in a little valley, sigh. Will check out DSL next - we reallyDON"T feel faster 'net is worth the $70+ for satellite net!Healthwise, been not bad, some days better, some worse. My right leg (theworse-affected) no longer straightens out completely at the knee, and myright ankle no longer flexes or extends completely - anybody else havesomething like that? The most bothersome part is that when standing myright heel no longer touches the ground, so that throws all my weight on myleft leg...And today I have a toothache that goes from my lower jaw up into my ear,and is making very crabby and whiny...And the weather is slowly slowly creeping toward fall, won't be muchlonger til first snow... in WY Practical Blackwork Designs"You get a wonderful view from the
