Guest guest
Hi Friends,I started Now brand Nutritional Yeast Powder in attempt to help my son's yeast problems. Nothing helped by the way (tried candidase, herbs, prescriptions, you name it) . It says " It is produced from specially selected strain of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. This is a primary grown yeast therefore NOT a brewery by-product. This ensures freedom from Candida Albicans yeast " . Nothing helped with candida and I wanted to give it a shot. However, I do not feel comfortable using it because it is yeast. He had loose and undigested stools all the time but since giving this product he is having digested and not very loose stools. This was a good one. Bad one is he is very aggressive. I thought it may have increased glutamate. Just need couple opinions to decide how to go about it. Thanks in advance. Guest guest
Tammy,I have thought of this and gave him some natural antimicrobials along with it. I guess naturals were not enough. He has to use some antibiotics for dental work. So we see if this helps with the aggression. What a coincidence. Thanks for responding Ayse Ayse, If you were successful killing off the yeast, bacteria may be taking over. -Tammy To: mb12valtrex Sent: Saturday, December 17, 2011 6:31 AM Subject: Re: Nutritional Yeast Powder Have you tried syclovir its plankton silica solution available from living well today international. Guest guest
Channa,This is the firs time we talked him into doing dental work without anesthesia. He was sooo good. Only bad thing is ,dentist by accident put the needle on his lip. It was my fault, I could not keep his head still. Anyway, it went well. Only problem is because his lip was num for couple hours he bit it like crazy and have a huge scar on his lip now. It is infected, yellow, swollen. Yucky..Also antibiotic makes him very hyper and caused sleep issues. Try to give some binders at night to help him a little with the die-off. Aggression is still there and driving me nuts. I guess it is not bacteria that causes this. I am thinking may be glutamate excess. Any ideas on aggression other than bacteria. I also support his organs (kidney, liver, adrenal). Do not now what else to do. Guest guest
i would try giving the high doses of culturelle if he tolerates it see if that helps...three capsules every four hours away from antibiotics...and for glutamate issues have you tried theonine? i used to give my son theonine and 5htp at the same time first thing in morning it would chill him right out....also would alternate that with valerian....three liguid dropperfuls....also good with glutamate issues... but i think giving high dose culturelle will help...until he is done the antibiotics.....hopefully soon? Only problem is because his lip was num for couple hours he bit it like crazy and have a huge scar on his lip now. It is infected, yellow, swollen. Yucky..Also antibiotic makes him very hyper and caused sleep issues. Try to give some binders at night to help him a little with the die-off. Aggression is still there and driving me nuts. I guess it is not bacteria that causes this. I am thinking may be glutamate excess. Any ideas on aggression other than bacteria. I also support his organs (kidney, liver, adrenal). Do not now what else to do. Thanks for the response Ayse ugg...i hate antibiotics.....i agree with michelle getting some good probiotics on board.....i would stay away from adding any more antibacterials right now....i would give tons of culturelle....to help keep some level of good bacteria...give the culturelle four hours away from the dose of antibiotics......you dont want all his gut flora wiped out... channa To: Valtrex <mb12valtrex > Sent: Sunday, December 18, 2011 4:57 PMSubject: RE: Nutritional Yeast Powder Hi Is it flagyl that he is taking, i got given that back in the summer by my dentist, it made me feel terrible, like drunk, drugged feeling, make sure you add it lots of probiotics once you have finished the course of antibiotics, as antibiotics wipe out good and bad bacteria. x Channa, We have been using OLE for couple months. Nothing else. I ran out of Oregano oil, and Uva ursi. Any other herbal suggestions? By the way I am giving him antibiotic for him not to catch infection following dental work. Actually dentist made me use it:( He became really hyper and even more aggressive on this? Can this be die-off? Ayse it sounds like the product is helping him! that is awesome....but sounds like with his aggression maybe bacteria....is being stirred up ...have you looked into a herbal antibacterial? Nothing helped by the way (tried candidase, herbs, prescriptions, you name it) . It says "It is produced from specially selected strain of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. This is a primary grown yeast therefore NOT a brewery by-product. This ensures freedom from Candida Albicans yeast". Guest guest
Channa,I did try culturelle in the past with no satisfactory results. Tomorrow will be the last day on antibiotic. It already has messed his gut big time. He went to the bathroom like 5 times today. Not digested, diluting in the water, very very loose. After all these years i was finally able to get him poop fine and BAM! We are right where we started. I am so tired of trying to get his gut function better. When it comes tho theanine, he has COMT mutation that is why he cannot tolerate this. I tried once and the result was a disaster. We do GABA, Valerian, and I do lots of herbs since it is easier for me because I live in turkey. We eat nettle, make tea from nettle, dandelion, rosemary, chamomile, all the good herbs you can think of. Nothing seems to help. I cannot see the expected results of the supplements on him I think because of his gut problems. Really tired here.. Guest guest
oh Ayse my heart goes out to you..truely....i know the fight...it is long and hard at times.. did you see any bad reactions with culturelle in the past? and how much did you give? and the antibiotic he is on....maybe it was too high? did you get a second opinion with another doc about this antibiotic? i would go to another doc and see if it is possible to lower the dose or switch? i know you are suppose to finish it till the end but maybe if you could at least lower it? scripts is not my territory...only fixing the damage after.. we can go thru this one step a time.... channa To: mb12valtrex Sent: Tuesday, December 20, 2011 3:58 PMSubject: Re: Nutritional Yeast Powder Channa, I did try culturelle in the past with no satisfactory results.
