Guest guest
Ken is finally home now. Other than cleaning the house, laundry piled sky high, dogs that need baths and “just a little” medical paperwork to be done, I have nothing to do. So please, read the message below & give me lots of reasons to go to the post office! By the way…when all was said & done, Ken & I had met 6 people with PSC at Baylor, 6!! I put our brochures in with other pamphlets in the liver clinic and I added about 12 of our green bracelets in the slot and by the next day they were all gone. Hello everyone, I’m sure by now everyone has read the terrific brochure PSC Partners has published titled Living with Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC). In case you haven’t, you can find it here: http://www.pscpartners.org/ Our goal is to have these brochures readily available to all patients. We hope you will help us by placing an order (they are free of charge!) and taking them to; your GI or Hepatoligist’s office the next time you go in for a visit. If you are post transplant, we’d love for you to take a few copies to your liver clinic too. We have a few guidelines for quantity ordering, but if you need more, please just let me know how you plan to pass them out and I’ll do my best to make sure you get them. Please note, these brochures are expensive to print, so we ask that you do not use them for your personal fund raising. However, you can freely print your own brochures by using the web link above. You can also reorder more for your doctors office at any time. The “guidelines” are as follows: Office of a single GI or Hepatologist: 10 PCP/internist/family doctor's office: 5 Liver group with several GIs/Hepatoligist’s: 20 Transplant center: 25-30 Thank you so much for your help, this is such an important project! We all remember what it was like to get the diagnosis, how scared we were and how franticly we searched for any kind of information. Imagine now, how different things would have been if you were able to pick up one of these brochures and have so much information right at your finger tips. Passing out these brochures will help someone else in their time of need. To place an order, e-mail your name, address and quantity ordering to: pscbrochures@... Please allow 2-3 weeks for mailing. Thank you so much, Barb in Texas
Guest guest
Barb, That’s amazing that you met 6 PSCers while at Baylor. Thank you for taking the time at Baylor and now that you are home to hand out our brochures. I don’t know where you find the time to think of all of us after all that you have been through. Thank you so much!!! Enjoy being home again and congratulations. Guest guest
Dear Barb, It is so great that you are back home ! Thank you so much for doing this. You are a true soldier fresh from the battlefield and you should be resting !! Like that's gonna happen. Mom's always find the reserves they need. Because your life was so crazy I asked Ricky for a few extra brochures. I didn't want to bother you. Finally I am adjusting to living in a new place and I am taking 6 brochures to a pediatric GI here in FL this week. I just wanted you to know that I'm on the case and spreading the word in FL.! She happens to be the wife of my new ophthalmologist. Yep, even he had to hear all about Partners, at least he was interested because of his wife. Take care of yourself and keep the TLC going to Ken. I'm still sending him well wishes. Thank you so very much Barb. Lee To the rest of the troops , if Barb is back at it already then anyone who hasn't helped by getting brochures into their Dr's office should jump in to help ! We can all help make it easier for the next patient diagnosed to get the information they need.
