Guest guest
Tahira, Please consider...with no other changes to what you are currently doing....a low/slow trial of Immusist...I've personally seen it help so much w/the tummy issues & reducing inflamation..I've heard reports of reduced seizures but no one in our current WA group has seizures this bad, I truely believe it would help...with the high documented volume of seizures I would really like to see your sons response....with the reduced inflamation (Channa just touched on some of reduced inflamation we are seeing here w/her migraine going down) & cellular hydration+oxygenation) I just see the benefit to helping w/seizures. Please let us know if you do decide to try it. Blessings, Rita > > > > > > > > > > Tahira, > > My son was severely constipated when he was 13 yrs old. After 3 months of trying everything that is suppose to prevent constipation and then another 2 months of doing ememas evey other night in conjuntion with all other things like diet, stool softners, raisn pastes, prune juice, etc.. you name we tried it I think. I finally tried the biofilm protocol in a slightly modified version. I did this 2 x a day for eight weeks and still use it anytime his BM's try to slow down. I used Peta Cohen version basically with the aniti fungals, bacterials that I know work okay on my son, as he too has seizures. ( I cannot use Olive leaf extract as it casues a seizure everytime for him) (also constipation will cause my son seizures) Seizures...that is whole other situation. I don't know how much you've tried in diet and supplements ot control them, but we gone form 3-4 seizures in a day 1 -2 x monthly to one siezure about every 3-4 months now and we don't use a seizure > med. It's took about 6 months to find the right comboination and another 6 months to basically perfect it to where we are now. > > > > Here's basically how I do the BIofilm for my son that has fixed our constiaption issues. > > > > Biofilm Protocol > > > > I like to start with cleaning out the intestines as much as possible before starting the protocol with an enema and or laxative. The apple pectin powder is good to give 30 minutes- to an hour afterwards to help absorb those toxins caused by  " die off . Those symptoms should end after the first week or two. If they seem severe, please go see the doctor. BM’s may get loose after a few days on this and ideally so, as long as you keep hydration up, you should be fine. So I am sharing this here for anyone who wants to try it. Dr. Peta Cohen and Dr. Usman are ones that use a protocol similar. This is how I personally used it for and it has worked time and time again over the past 3 yrs when bowels slow down. We keep the Taurine and bicarbonate in his diet all the time along with a host of other nutrients and strict diet. > > > > Does your son have partial continuous seizures? I know things like measles and encephalitis and other viral things can cause seizures mainly due to inflammation in the brain. Many docs are prescribing Ibuprofen 300 - 400 mgs each time now 3 times a day to hlep decrease brain inflammtion? Ideally I know you need to rid the measles. But there are several aniti-inflammaotries being used these days to help keep inflammtion down in the brain. Maybe you look into that if he's not on one already. > > > > > > Some of the things that helped us with seizure activity were.. being sure not too give him too many things that have much asparatic acid or glutamate / glutamic acid in them, as these are excitotory amino acids, they tend to add to risk of seziures in kids with neuro issues. We still give him oatmeal, but have eliminated many other things high in these areas, and lowered his protein levels to a place of tolerence. You can google good lists and cross reference what you eat regualry and see if any are high) We don't do grains other than oats and rice. Seems red meats needed the most adjusting, Chicken and fish were fine. No pork, and or amazingly enough no venicien either. Also supplements like Taurine, Selenium, B-6, folinic acid, (keeping all minerals where up to par, magnesium is a biggie. If you are giving seizure meds, then you might want to check out the deficiencies the med can cause. Manytime the med will work short term then 6 months later > seizure activity increases again as the med has caused a deficiency in let say " selenium " or in Keppra's case, B-6. Deficiencies in these can be a cause of seizures, so instead of increasing the med, add in the nutirent that is being lowered. So amny time the med is depleting something that it is suppose to be fixing.. ergh.. For use with Ibuprofen, we have to watch Iron levels. they get too low. You can google most of these things to find the deficiency caused by a med. You may have to look thru a page a too as they are not always on top on the list when you google. > > > > I could on and on, but every case is unique, so it really takes fine tuning and adjustment and I find www.seizuretracker.com to be great asset in helping keep a log to idnetify what is working and what is not. You can print it out, send it you doc etc.. this family really made a super site for those seizures, they did this out of neccessity to try and diagnosis their own son that was having so many seizures in a day, triggers were hard to indentify. > > > > > > I hope some of this helps. I HATE SEIZURES more than the other things. They are horrible to watch. Because the disease our son has can have such difficult airways as they age, we keep diastat on hand and give him this via rectal admin within 2 minutes of him having a seizure. (of course you can't use this 3 -4 times a day, but for us it works in keeping his body and brain from losing oxygen by shortening the time of the seizure activity. I think it has been a good thing to have for our son. > > > > Praying you are able to get some relief and healing for your son. > > > > Patty T - Mom to > > www.caringbridge.org/md/myjesse >
Guest guest
rita, since the dr in london that had the viral panels done is sure that imunovir with prenisolone cover for few days will be his mainstay treatment for two to three months then maybe i need to start this as planned in next few days then later once he is stable on this i can look at imunosist as an additional support. i have also been pointed towards ivig but i am scared that there is coontamination risk and also my son will not allow to have it done. how can i read up more on imunosist ,if you have a link pls send it.i am eager to try the biofilmm protocol outlined by patty. thks tahira Subject: Re: .Can anyone on this forum help pls -seizuresTo: mb12valtrex Date: Sunday, 18 December, 2011, 21:29 Tahira,Please consider...with no other changes to what you are currently doing....a low/slow trial of Immusist...I've personally seen it help so much w/the tummy issues & reducing inflamation..I've heard reports of reduced seizures but no one in our current WA group has seizures this bad, I truely believe it would help...with the high documented volume of seizures I would really like to see your sons response....with the reduced inflamation (Channa just touched on some of reduced inflamation we are seeing here w/her migraine going down) & cellular hydration+oxygenation) I just see the benefit to helping w/seizures.
