Guest guest
Hello,Since we had our 7 yo son's IgG food panel and OAT results, we had to find our way through several diets, all together (Low Oxalates, GFCFSF, Low Sugar, IgG elimination). The mission is not easy, and I'm searching and researching a lot , maybe too much as my husband said when I also decided to do a rotation diet for some items. Really overwhelming. Sigh! Anyway, I know that Mr. Stan Kurtz had to do similar diets for his son's Ethan (GFCF, SCD, low sugar, and IgG FP , I think!). I would love to know what did Ethan's diet actually consist of, what was he able to eat other than juicing? I watched several videos from the website, which was really helpful and encouraging, but while I'm looking for the things that my child CAN actually have, I kept on wondering what others with somewhat similar diets do to get proper nutrition during a restricted diet. Thanks!Noura
Guest guest
Let me start by saying that Stan has not been active on this list for a couple years now. But if you really want to know what Ethan's diet was, you'll have to go through the archives and search to see if he ever actually said or you can contact him directly. My only comment on this is that each child is different and has different needs. Another option is to simply ask the other parents on this list. I'm not sure what proper nutrition you think your child is not getting from juicing, supplementing and eating so you might start by saying why you think your child isn't getting nutrition. You might find that nutrition isn't the problem. What is your child eating? How picky of an eater is your child? What other interventions are you doing? In my house, diet was not the key to my son's recovery. Understanding what your child needs is far more important than doing what others say you *need* to do - what they tend to tell you is what worked for *their* kid and the assumption is that it must work for you too. It generally fails to do that. You'll find that most parents have the ever ridiculous IgG panel which is why I tend to find it a rather useless test unless you have gut issues - which tend to need more than just eliminating what is on the panel, that just generally creates new sensitivities as you switch to replacements.Anyway, my point is to be more specific and you'll probably get more help. ~ Antiviral Therapy 101~ gryffinstail.wordpress.com ~~ @Gryffins_Tail ~ Hello,Since we had our 7 yo son's IgG food panel and OAT results, we had to find our way through several diets, all together (Low Oxalates, GFCFSF, Low Sugar, IgG elimination).
