Many people had asked how Sleep'n Sync works. I wanted to share this newsletter with you that explains how something so easy can really work.

Sleep'n Sync: How it is Revolutionary Sleep’n sync helps children achieve their goals fast through a technique that uses principles of neuroplasticity, positive suggestions, hypnotherapy and research on the sleep process. Children easily overcome functional problems of flexibility, handling frustration or anger, learning what to do to help prevent being bullied and many more… while sound asleep. These are incorporated into an audio that is easy to use, efficient and can be set up to play every night without adult intervention. The messages the child needs to absorb on each topic are positively presented and tailored using principles of hypnotherapy, neuroplasticity and research on the sleep process. These messages are easily absorbed by the subconscious mind in this receptive state and are also designed to improve self esteem, they include post suggestions designed to modify behavior when not asleep.Did you know that the brain is highly active during sleep? While asleep the brain is sorting, organizing, evaluating and linking things that happened with other memories and choosing what memories to store and which to discard (Rock, 2005). While asleep the subconscious mind is busy working without the interference of the conscious mind. The subconscious mind is most receptive during sleep, when the conscious mind does not interfere.Sleep’n Sync takes advantage of sleep as a natural receptive state for its messages to effectively be absorbed by the subconscious mind. It also takes advantage of the natural function of sleep in building and solidifying brain connections and its natural role as self-therapy(Rock, 2005).The process of building and solidifying brain connections is called neuroplasticity. Neuroplasticity is the process of changing the connections or the strength of the connections within the brain. One of the ways new pathways are formed or strengthened is through mental rehearsal and repeating a skill set over and over. Through these strategies we engage the cerebral cortex which results in the release of neuromodulators (chemicals) which influence neuroplasticity of cortical maps within the brain ((Merzenich et al., 1999).Sleep’n Sync works to develop, build and strengthen neural connections within the brain through using mental rehearsal and reviewing the skills and strategies needed to modify behavior. These strategies are combined with principles of hypnotherapy, using strong, empowering positive suggestions designed to build a child’s self esteem with post hypnotic suggestions designed to modify behavior when awake. These programs come with a caregiver’s instruction guide. As the child becomes receptive, open and the conscious mind becomes ready to learn, the caregiver helps teach and guide the child, when awake. In this way the child will be synchronizing the conscious mind with the new messages of the subconscious mind. These are all combined into an audio that takes advantage of the natural receptivity of the mind at night, when there is no interference by the conscious mind. The combination of these principles into an audio that is easily played at night makes Sleep’n Sync a cutting edge product that is revolutionary.

Sleep'n Sync: How it is Revolutionary

Sleep’n sync helps children achieve their goals fast through a technique that uses principles of neuroplasticity, positive suggestions, hypnotherapy and research on the sleep process.

These messages are easily absorbed by the subconscious mind in this receptive state and are also designed to improve self esteem, they include post suggestions designed to modify behavior when not asleep.

Did you know that the brain is highly active during sleep? While asleep the brain is sorting, organizing, evaluating and linking things that happened with other memories and choosing what memories to store and which to discard (Rock, 2005). While asleep the subconscious mind is busy working without the interference of the conscious mind. The subconscious mind is most receptive during sleep, when the conscious mind does not interfere.

Sleep’n Sync takes advantage of sleep as a natural receptive state for its messages to effectively be absorbed by the subconscious mind. It also takes advantage of the natural function of sleep in building and solidifying brain connections and its natural role as self-therapy(Rock, 2005).

The process of building and solidifying brain connections is called neuroplasticity. Neuroplasticity is the process of changing the connections or the strength of the connections within the brain. These are all combined into an audio that takes advantage of the natural receptivity of the mind at night, when there is no interference by the conscious mind. The combination of these principles into an audio that is easily played at night makes Sleep’n Sync a cutting edge product that is revolutionary.

I have several clients and several friends that have used it for their children. I don't think any of the parents are currently on this list serve. I will summarize some of the results:

1) A 10 year old child who was seeing a psychologist due to issues with bullying, depression and problems coping. She used the bullying program. Her affect shifted and she started showing better coping skills and became more positive. The child reported she finally felt happy. The psychologist seeing her asked mom what she was doing different as it was a noticeable difference and nothing had changed within her session.

2) A 5-6 year old child with sensory issues, control issues and lacked flexibility this resulted in a short fuse and poor tolerance for most situations. In addition to the improvements below her mom said she is less impulsive, verbally hurtful, and is monitoring her behavior. We did pretest and post tests. She made 2 point progress on the following areas:

• Able to do new things

• Can do things that used to frighten me.

• Not scared of things that used to frighten me

• Not afraid of heights

• Not afraid of falling

• Not afraid of moving unexpectedly

• Can accept help

• Can follow through on projects till the end

3) An 8 year old with problems focusing, organizing his work and staying on task. Within a month the teacher asked the parent for a meeting and wanted to know what was different. Her child seemed totally different and was so much more relaxed and focused .

I love the flexibility 1 audio. It was developed for children with SI problems that often have sensory problems that contribute to problems with body awareness and motor planning. The secondary characteristics we see with this child is often rigid behaviors, compliance issues and problems with flexibility.

In this audio it works to help the child relax, take a deep breath, feel grounded and stable in their body and be able be more accepting and flexible. It also works to give the child strategies to help when he gets overwhelmed.

Feedback from a parent that used this particular audio with her child was: "My child was getting upset at her grandmother the other day and she decided to go into the bathroom for a couple of minutes to calm down! We think this is amazing as she would normally just blowup. ".

This is the sort of response the audio is looking for. Often the response vary depending on the child's environment.. but it is always something positive.

Ok, I just ordered it. I will keep you all posted on Zander's progress. I hope this works. I tried something similar years ago to try to stop smoking and it was a big waste of money but I am going into this with an open mind, it can't hurt can it?

A well known psychologist in this area looked over the program in detail and said that everyone should try this with their child. It is a feel good program for kids that at the least helps their self esteem and at the best changes their behavior and improves their ability to function. There is no negatives to it. Also...the price has been kept so low that it is accessible for almost everyone.

So- it cant hurt.

Keep in touch with me privately! I would love to hear how it works. I will also help if you have any questions.
