Guest guest
If you guessed the hospital you win. Last night around 7:30 Chuck said he was going to take his b/p. It was 178/?? so I told him to sit and relax awhile. Next time it was 201/??? then I was getting worried. So we called 911. He was real clammy and a little dizzy. The Paramedic gave him 4 baby aspirin and ran a EKG which was good. Started out and he had to give him 4 more aspirin and three nitro pills. We got to the hospital and they ran blood work and it looked ok but wanted him to stay. Did a chest xray too. They drew blood 3 times, 6 hours apart and the enzymes are all ok. His b/p is still a little high, 152/82(?) but the dr said he could go home if we watched his b/p closely and if it got 180 or over to get back there. They increased his one pill, can't remember the name, to 2 every day instead of one. They said this should help with the b/p. He said if it stayed around 150 to call Dr Reckamp and go to him Mon. He has a little redness around the spot where one of the IV's was and they gave us some ointment and also said if it wasn't better Mon. to call Dr Reckamp. The dr said sometimes, if you have a 20% or so blockage that that can cause chest pains also. So for now we are home. Hugs nne
Guest guest
when I was a ward clerk I had to put the roster for vital signs 120/ is "normal" 140/ or above is take the blood pressure frequently is he on Advair for breathing problems - that will spike your b/p, drop potassium, and spike your blood sugar - stay away from it God, grant me the strength of eagles wings, the faith and courage to fly to new heights, and the wisdom to rely on his spirit to carry me there. Guest guest
The same thing is happening to me. I'm getting posts from last week. Some are duplicates. You guys are in my prayers nne. Hope Chucks BP comes down. My hubby is on 3 bp meds and that combo keeps his lowered. Plus he takes a baby aspirin at night, and the Dr. just put him on niacin. Keep us informed on how he is doing. :-) Hugs and Love, Jackie May the peace of God be with you...the love of Jesus enfold you...and the Spirit of Christ fill you. Guest guest
Could very well be.. some mail server somewhere got clogged.. and instead of deleting emails, as they passed through the servers.. the clogged confused that server.. and they were sent again.. when the server got unclogged.. I don't know if any of you were using dial up in the olden days (though I think there are a few of you who still do).. but it sort of all has to do with bandwidth and size and other variables... When I worked tech support.. would frequently receive calls about people receiving the same batch of email over and over and over again.. that usually occurred when just one of the emails was too large.. they would "time out" during the transmission.. making the mail server think that none of the emails was delivered.. so.. it sends them again.. and of course when the mail was too large.. would stick again.. causing the same process over and over and over again.. that was on the personal level.. we "could" get into the email to read the actual email.. (it didn't look like what we're looking at here).. BUT were only permitted with the clients permission to open that email and read it to them, before we deleted it from our servers.. that would clear it up and then the client could receive all their email in the order they should have to start with (though they still had to clean up the duplicates on their end).. Now.. on a larger scale.. consider just the email that passes through our MSers group daily.. then multiply that by thousands.. somewhere along the "routing" line.. some server got messed up.. whether because they had a power outage, that mail couldn't do the normal pass through to it's destination or because something became either clogged or bottle-necked (like traffic does).. but some server somewhere.. (and if it was happening to AOL as well as yahoo, it wasn't Yahoo on drugs) got hung up delivering the mail.. and sent it over and over again, until their problem was corrected.. allowing things to go floating about cyberspace until they were located.. and delivered once again.. even days later.. to yahoo's mail server.. And though my explanation is confusing, and I'm sorry about that.. it all has to do with computer nerds (or is it more common to call us "wonks" or "wonkers" these days).. and how they programmed their mail server to handle situations.. if all things are not considered and alternate methods used to handle the traffic backups.. crap happens... In my very first programming class.. our professor stood behind her chair, at her desk.. the door was 15 feet from her on the left.. she asked us to give her "commands" (like we would a computer) to get her too and out that door... Before the class was finished, we had her standing on top of the desk... was hysterical.. but a very good visual explanation of planning and precision when it came to computers.. and the fact that they can only do what the person at the keyboard tells them to do... LOL HUGS |)onna It is not the Yahoo monkeys; I have a cousin who uses AOL, which has been having real problems and its monkeys have been all over the place. Just my take, but I would not ever, ever, use AOL! Those darned yahoo monkeys are on crack again, most of my lists are messed up in some way, and I have also been getting lots of repeat posts, and late posts...*sigh*
