Guest guest
Family Network on Disabilities of Broward County provides ADVOCACY SERVICES to families of children with special needs under the age of 22 with physical/developmental/intellectual disabilities such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, and Prader-Willi Syndrome, Intellectual Disabilities and Developmental disabilities -- language/motor/cognitive) who reside in Broward County. Our advocates assist in securing educational services and resources for their children. Parents learn about their child's disability, educational rights, and how to establish a working relationship with others involved in their child's education. We accompany parents to IEP's/FSP's, help prepare for and teach strategies to be successful at the meetings. FND's Advocacy program is available to provide training and support to parents so that they can learn the necessary skills to advocate for their children effectively on their own. The cost for services is based on income eligibility and may require a small co-payment. Families who do not qualify for low cost may still access services for a fee. For further information or any questions please call or visit www.fndbroward.com Please do not wait till the school year begins to get your child registered and request our services.
