Guest guest
Glomer, The info you gave was very interesting. Thank you. I've written it down for possible use in the future. I know that vinegar solution is irritating but I'm uneasy that something bad might be going on. Kathy
Guest guest
Hi Kathy, I wouldn't worry so much about vinegar solution. It's the TCA (an acid) and 5FU cream that you have to worry about--I only had one application of the former, but some practitioners have suggested that that _might_ have been the/a catalyst for my chronic vulvar pain. Again, this was 10 years ago, and I know that diagnostic and treatment methods have improved since then... Has your particular strain of HPV been identified yet? If it's not one of the strains that cause cervical cancer, that might effect how you proceed. Good luck to you! Glomer > > Glomer, The info you gave was very interesting. Thank you. Guest guest
Hi Glomer, When I had the abnormal cells that turned white w/the vinegar solution I was given FU5 cream that I put on for a few days-then nothing for a few days. It took care of that problem and that was about 8 or 9 years ago. I am going to ask for a copy of the HPV test to bring to another gyn. My daughter thought they tested for the ones that can cause cancer- the 4 worst ones? I want to go to another gyn that deals alot with problem paps to see if she thinks my vulvar redness(burny, itchy) might be due to HPV. Guest guest
Hey Kathy,Sorry I'm slow answering, I'm playing catch up today! ;-) I don't blame you one bit for going to another gyn and getting a second opinion. I think that is a wise choice. No harm in being certain! Also, if you get a chance, use the search box on the home page and you will find info on HPV and treatments others have used. Take care and hang in there....ChellePS - scroll down for the homepage link...search box is on the opening page, though you might have to scroll down a little for it, too!
