Guest guest
Thanks Reb. Maybe I can get my hubby or daughter to make these. When we were in Steve's [hubby] rock band many years ago, one of the band members made cinnamon rolls, and there is nothing better hot out of the oven rolls. Mouth drooling as I type this.... :-) Hugs and Love, Jackie May the peace of God be with you...the love of Jesus enfold you...and the Spirit of Christ fill you. Subject: Re: Sleepiness and my update....../cinnamon rolls recipeTo: MSersLife Date: Thursday, October 7, 2010, 5:21 AM I just used the recipe for Swedish cinnamon rolls from our most trusted cookbook, and it's pretty identical to this one I found when googling for an English translation for it: http://scandinavianfood.about.com/od/coffeecakessweetbreads/r/cinnamonrolls.htm Differences are that I didn't melt the butter for the filling (I don't know if the recipe I used said you should, but my mother never did, so I didn't, I think I went by childhood memories more than by the recipe when I got to the filling part, because that's the part mom used to let us help with, and the help included eating some of the dough and filling of course....), and another difference is that I used fresh yeast (I think it's more common to use fresh yeast than dry one, in Sweden, or at least that's my experience). Oh, and then I forgot about the egg, and about the cardamom...but both were actually parts of the recipe I did use... However, to my defence, the rolls did come out very good despite that... And a little bonus language lesson: Swedish cinnamon rolls in Swedish is: kanelbullar (literally: kanel=cinnamon + bullar=buns) love /Reb >> >> > > > > > > > > > >
