Hi all,

I am curious about the vitamin a protocol....this is the second time I am trying

to do the protocol. Everytime I start dosing, my son gets a fever and gets sick

(e.g. vomit, sleepy, and cranky) Could it be viral die off? We never make it

past 150,000 ius ( child is 6 and 55lbs)....could I be doing something wrong.

The test result indicate the wbc counts are high and measles tithers are out of

range....

Thanks in advance for your responses

Well, this could be one of two things.

It could be a good response in that you are drawing out and conquering viruses.

This happened for my son. Everytime we did the protocol, he would get a

low-grade fever and act unwell, but wouldn't be horribly sick. It wouldn't last

more than three days and then we would see immediate gains. That was what

happened the first four (I think) times we did the protocol. Then he stopped

having that response and also stopped having gains, so we stopped doing the

protocol, although he stays on a pretty high maintenance dose through his cod

liver oil.

That being said, your son could also be having a vitamin A toxicity response,

especially because you mentioned vomiting. My son never had nausea or vomiting.

Here is a great article on the protocol, including signs of toxicity so you can

compare the list of toxicity symtpoms with the symptoms your son experiences:
