Hi Jen,.....WELCOME to our family. :-) One thing to remember is everyones MS progresses differently than the other. Or it doesn't progress at all. I was told I probably had it in 1981, I was 31 then, and other than some weakness on my right side and a short hosp. stay so they could figure out what was going on, I went for many years being as active as I could. I played tennis, walked miles, and taught an art class at my kids school for 4 years. The biggest symptom I dealt with was the fatigue. It would come and go back then, and I did have some pain. But I was also dx'ed with Fibromyalgia too. and that causes fatigue and pain. It wasn't until 14 years later I got a definite dx of MS. And even then it was classified as Transverse Myelitis, and thats when I met Sharon our group leader. So what I am saying is what you experience may be similar to

what one of us experience too at any given time, but yours might not progress the same or at all. As n calls it MS=MULTIPLE SURPRISES is soooo true. :-)

Get to know us, and ask lots of questions, there's bound to be someone here that has an answer for you. We aim to help as much as we can. :-)

Hugs and Love, Jackie from Oregon

May the peace of God be with you...the love of Jesus enfold you...and the Spirit of Christ fill you.

Hi everyone,

I was just diagnosed with MS and I just don't know what to think..I have heard some hopeful stories and some not so hopeful ones....I hope to connect with others who are going through the same things.

I am 35, I am a Health Care Aide at a small nursing home. I have 3 teenage children ( 2 boys, 16 and 15, and a step daughter, 13). My hubby and I have been together for 6 yrs. We were both previously married. he has been really great. but neither of us has any experience with this...........

Thanks for letting me be a part of your group

Thank you Jackie for the warm welcome. I have received such wonderful emails from all of you, it's great, I am so happy to be here :)

I also wanted to say, the reason I have been quiet since i joined is, since Friday I have been suffering from migraines (it's now Monday evening) and I have had about enough :(

I am on Axert for my migraines and I have n ever had one last more than a day and a half.......it's just kicked my butt this time around and the pills have done nothing.

I have missed 2 days of work, sun and today and am going to try to go back tomorrow.......

Right now it is severe pain on my right side..into my shoulder blade, up into my neck, ear and head..left side is fine......hte migraine has been totally right sided this time around.

I am hoping it soon leaves me, it's so draining :(

But there is a lot I want to say, I want to ask etc, so I hope to be feeling better in a day or 2!!!!

Jen sorry to hear about your migraine. Our daughter has gotten them since she was a teenager and is now 41. She takes Imitrex shots which usually work but not always. You will be in my prayers.
