First off, prayers for everyone who needs them, greetings and welcome to

the new folks, congrats where due, and You Don't Need An Excuse Not To Let

ANYONE In Your House, It's YOUR House!!! Just Say No!!!! ;-D

Now, all the news fit to print from out here in the sagebrush - we

(finally) made the leap deom prehistoric dialup to DSL, and have been having

all the little weirdnesses that go with switching - for an assortment of

reasons first I couldn't email at ALL, and then I could email nobody but

myself - and those went straight to spam! I could read along, though, the

whole time. So today we took a hammer to (we hope) the last kink and are

fully operational...

Himself is still jobhunting, and it's getting to be kind of scary, the

severance money isn't gonna last much longer. So prayers, good thoughts,

etc, please, winter in Wyoming ain't the time to get homeless!

Been feeling pretty good, though more muscle spasms than usual - the

weather change, maybe, or stress over the job hunting?, and a bad run of The

Forgets. Been busy, though, with getting things around the house squared

away for cold weather, and getting patterns ready and off for editing, and

still stitching away at pattern models.

Overslept yesterday morning, got up for a drink, looked out the kitchen

window to see 2 strange small children wandering around my yard - then one

turned around and I realized that Son had brought the boys up from

Arizona for a surprise visit to Nana and Poppop - yay! Always good to get a

NICE surprise!

Well, that's all I can remember to say at the moment, so I'll go back to

being amazed at all the goofy stuff on YouTube I never saw before because my

internet was too slow... :-D

I am busy watching the Chilean miners being rescued...absolutely astonishing! They have 5 up now, 28 to go, pray that their rescues go as smoothly as the first 5 have gone. If you watch any of it, when the wheel is going clockwise, they are bringing one up in the capsule....it takes about 15 min to come up, that has to be the longest 15 mins in anyone's life...I cannot even imagine being claustrophobic in that...it gives me the willies just thinking about it! The one they just got up was the youngest, at 18 (18! And gone through SO much! And he IS somewhat claustrophobic...but he made it ok!)

I will be praying for them all...what a story!

Hi !Good to finally see you posting again ; ) We missed you!Enjoy the addictive youtube!Your story about the "strange children" wandering around in the garden mademe think about an episode this summer, at the cottage my sister rented, in thatnature reserve...anyway, on our last day there I spent the morning hours and lunch at the beach with Pixie (I was "on Pixie detail", as I said...) while the other did cleaning. They were done earlier than anticipated, so they showed up, and joined us, when we werehaving lunch at the restaurant/store by the beach. I declined the offer of going backto the beach with them, decided to take the opportunity for some quiet time all bymyself by the cottage instead (a 1930's cottage can get crowded when every roomis occupied...). But before I left a, my sister, said she had been on the phone with a friend of hers from Stockholm, , who had said he was on the way to the beach too, with the kids, as his wife wanted some peace and quiet to clean out THEIR cottage (that's the usual set up apparently...). I had met , and his wife Sara, but I don't think I had ever met the kids before, maybe the oldest one as a baby but that's all. However, even though I do like , and even though I wouldn't mind meeting the kids, thequiet time had a stronger pull on me (that will almost always have a strong pull on me,but for some reason even more so after a few hours taking care of a 2-year old...don'tknow why that may be...) so I just told her to tell him I said hi, bought some ice creamto go and left for the cottage. Ice cold white wine from the fridge, salty candy, a crime novel, and a quiet seat in thegarden was just heaven... But after a couple of hours, just when I started to wonder ifI should get a shirt on to prevent sunburn, or if I should continue to scare the birds inmy strange outfit of army shorts, tank top and a 1940's hat (I found it in the cottage,it protected me against the sun wonderfully), I heard a child's voice from behind thehouse, and thought that, oh, Pixie, then they are coming back from the beach now. Around the corner came two strange children, 3 and 5, angelic looking in curly hair, but still, I hadn't seen them before... But I guessed it must be 's and Sara's. I said hi, and they stopped and looked confused at me, apparently they had not expected a stranger inthis particular garden... I hastened to add: "You must be 's boys". They still lookeda bit confused, so I added: "Your dad's name is , and your mum's name is Sara, right?"The older boy said, "Yes...but how did you know?" I said: "Oh, I just guessed...."Turned out they had run ahead to the cottage, because they had been in a hurry to look atthe toad they knew lived in the garden. And their dad was on his way, but had had to stopsomewhere to change the diapers of the baby brother. They did recover from the shock of the stranger in the garden quite fast, though, and the olderboy started talking to me about how he loved his bike, and really missed it, and was so gladthey were on the way back to Stockholm, where he could ride it. And then he said that: "Back home in Stockholm, I take my bike to the park, it's not far at all."I, who have borrowed their apartment once, together with , said: "No, you can practically see it from your window, right?" He looked a little bit confused again, and I added: "Yourroom is the one right next to the living room isn't it?" Now he was REALLY confused, and asked"How do you know where my room is?" I answered: "Well, I didn't know exactly, but that'sthe room that looked like it would be yours." The obvious question then was of course: "Andhow do you know what my room look like?" And I said, referring to the time when we borrowed theapartment "I saw it when I spent the night in your apartment once" He protested: "I didn't seeyou!" My explanation: "No, you wouldn't have, it was a night when you were all away"... AndI was starting to wonder if I was maybe starting to sound like the kind of stranger his parentsshould have warned him about... Luckily his dad showed up and confirmed my story...Oh the strangers in our lives, huh... ; )love/Reb>> First off, prayers for everyone who needs them, greetings and welcome to> the new folks, congrats where due, and You Don't Need An Excuse Not To Let> ANYONE In Your House, It's YOUR House!!!
