Guest guest
And , every week our pastor has a children's sermon and I mentioned to him the situation of your child and another who just had a pituitary tumor and possibly malignancy on the adrenals show up this week--the children prayed for both children to be healed. I believe God hears the prayers of these innocent ones... Peace, Kathy E. Guest guest
, thank you so much. I am reading reading reading all I can. Thank you so much for the links. All the research I have tried to do on my own, I have never heard of these websites. thank you. And thank you for caring and praying for him he needs it. Thank you. kiddietalk <kiddietalk@...> wrote: Hi ! As we all know you have some questions that medical doctors and time will answer for sure, but I so understand your desperation in finding out as much as possible, and in finding others (at least one!) you can talk to right now who have gone through the same thing. Just in case there isn't anyone here who can relate, even though I don't I'd like to try to help point you in some directions outside of muscular dystrophy since you already know to search for that. In a situation like this I love the website wrongdiagnosis.com because it can take the very same symptom -say rash - and this website will provide you with various diagnosis and/or reasons for that symptom ranging from the most benign to the most rare. Not that they'll always list everything -but perhaps they'll provide more reasons than any one MD you'll take your child to may think to test for (they are not all Dr. House you know) Here's a page from there on " muscle " http://www.wrongdiagnosis.com/medical/muscle.htm Here's a page from there on " muscle conditions " http://www.wrongdiagnosis.com/m/muscle_conditions/intro.htm Here's a page from there on " muscle disorder " http://www.wrongdiagnosis.com/medical/muscle_disorder.htm Due to this website I found this website which has in a parent friendly way a description of the blood test your child just had. " Creatine Phosphokinase (KREE uh TEEN FOS foe KI nace) Test (Also known as CPK, Creatine Kinase, or CK Test) " http://www.myositis.org/about_myositis/blood_tests.cfm Please know I am not at all in any way suggesting that myositis which is the website where I found this same blood test is the condition that your child has because I am not saying that. I'm trying to help find you support and this organization to me appears to offer a warm and non alarmist approach based on their website, and perhaps they will be able to answer some of your questions and/or point you in a direction you were not aware of. It appears that they also will be able to provide you with support and comfort for any further tests your child may have to go through since they deal with children as well. http://www.myositis.org/community/juvenile.cfm also know that even if nobody here can relate to this exact situation in this group we embrace you with support and friendship if and when you ever need someone to talk to any time of day or night. White light, positive energy and best wishes to you and your little guy. He's in my prayers. =========
Guest guest
He gets up just like that. Also if he drops something to the floor he will scream for me to pick it up and I feel so bad cause I would tell him well pick it up. and he would just cry so bad. So now I am feeling like well maybe it hurts for him to do so, so i made him do it and made it worse for him. and like climbing stairs he has to hold onto something and puts his other hand on his knee to help hold himself up i guess. I don't know i just don't want this to be it. deverelementary <kearneysix@...> wrote: They may suggest mito testing as well. You can check how your child gets from the floor to a standing position, a md child will get up in peculiar fashion, called gowers manueuver. They start out on their hands and feet, planting their feet widely apart and pushing up their bottom first. Then, they use their hands to push up on their knees and thighs. Sort of hands on the floor pushing upwards, and then sliding their hands along the length of their legs/thigh. Although that CPK is elevated, and clearly something is going on, don't get ahead of yourself with worry just yet. When he gets ill, is he worse, more so than an average child? Guest guest
Thank you again Kathy. So much. Yes, I believe he does hear the kids prayers. I know he has a reason and purpose for everything, but He has enough problems without having MD. I will pray for that child also if you can give me that childs name add him/her to my churches prayer list.
