Guest guest
I emailed Veasley and the NVA to see if Dr. B was getting out of the field--which would be terrible! She said that she's moving to FL and taking a teaching position at a University (CFU), but hopes to open a vulvar clinic there when she's settled in. Guest guest
Thanks for the info, Lia. was told Dr. Boardman would not be practicing as a vulvar specialist anymore (I believe). Glad to hear she will be. Good for FL...sad for those in New England...*sigh*. It's still so hard to believe how few women actually like Dr. or have found her helpful. I hope in time more specialists will become available. There is not even one in my entire state! Guest guest
Chelle,At my recent appointment with Kellogg, there was a very nice woman, just graduatedfrom UPenn medical school, who was shadowing for the day. She told me that sheloves this field and is strongly thinking about specializing in vulvar issues. Believe me, i was encouraging her like crazy to do it, telling her about Dr. B's retirement (or so i thought at the time) and the paucity of good practitioners. I asked her if anyone else in her med schoolclass was interested in pursuing a practice in this area and not surprisingly the answer wasno. But at least we may have one up and coming vulvar specialist in the works. . . .HollisThanks for the info, Lia. was told Dr. Boardman would not be practicing as a vulvar specialist anymore (I believe). Guest guest
Hey Hollis...Way to go! You sound so much like me. Every appt. I go to anymore, I make sure that I mention I have Vulvodynia and give more info (if needed). I sure hope she does become a vulvar specialist -- we need all of them we can get! I hope you are improving with the sound sensitivity! Hugs, Chelle
