Guest guest
That may be one way to get attention brought to the pain you are in but that does not always mean you will get relief. My husband's many complaints of pain were usually met with "but it has only been 2 hours since you had your last pain meds, I can't give you any more for at least an hour" or " you had X amount of morphine 2 hours ago how can you be in pain already" "I can't authorize giving you anymore so soon, we don't want you to get addicted" It was those responses that I had to bite my tongue from screaming and cursing them that they should be so lucky to never have to lie in my husbands place! I behaved and was insistent that there must be something that could be done now to relieve his discomfort. Then on my way home in the car I would scream and yell to get it out of my system.
