Sherri,Sounds to me like it's very likely that the proton pump inhibitors (as a whole) cause vitamin D deficiency. I've actually been studying some on how certain meds can cause vitamin and mineral deficiencies. I find this one Interesting, too. Both of my kids had severe acid reflux from birth until about 2 & 3 yrs. old. My youngest was on the PPI - Prilosec for the first 16 months of his life. The birth control pill will deplete the B Vitamins...and the statins meds for cholesterol will deplete Co-Q 10.Very Interesting...ChelleShopper56@... wrote: Are you saying that Vitamin D deficiency has a lot to do with the meds?
