Guest guest
So Dr Sorrell is still on vacation but I kept calling the nurses there. One told me " I don't have any idea what that disease is so I don't know what to tell you " !!!!! Then another tracked down a different GI doc that was willing to talk to me. He went over my symptoms and sent me to my local hospital for labs and blood cultures. The cultures aren't back yet but my ALKP is elevated so is BUN/CR and I am anemic (I don't know if that matters). So my PCP said that it could be mild cholangitis and I am on cipro and they gave me lortab which has helped. If you remember I had fever and chills a week or so ago and the ER docs didn't know what to think. So anyway....at least SOMEONE is listening to me. It's crazy. In the 3 years it took me to find out my dx, never did I imagine it be something that so few people would know about! It's frustrating. Thanks for the replies, advice, and similar stories!!!
