Guest guest
Hi Kath...Since you had your ovaries removed you might actually need a higher dose of Estrogen. Have you tried a patch? Antihistamines are the first thing that gave me some relief from vulvar pain. I'm in my 30's...but I've had terrible hormone trouble. There is tons of good info on the group regarding hormones...don't give up!Take Care,Chelle

Guest guest
Hi this is Tina Kohlman and I had a total hysterectomy and tryed everything even, the bio hormones. some people they work great but for me I would take them and pee them right out. They weren't making me like my self. So I was reading alot of books about hormes and came across Pellet hormones. When I went to Dr. Petry my blood level was at a 72 year old woman and I am 43. Now that I get these I will not have anything else. Love them If you need more info please ask thanks Tina Kohlman Subject: Re: Antihistamines (Q for )To: VulvarDisorders Date: Friday, September 12, 2008, 12:45 PM >> Hi Kath...> > Since you had your ovaries removed you might actually need a higher dose of Estrogen. Guest guest
I did fine with oral Claritin after I got to a tolerable pain level. In the b eginning of my V journey, when pain was acute, I used Childrens Benedryl, Alcohol , Dye and Sugar Free and applied it topically. It really helped. Just in case I was going to react, I applied to one small area (the same exact spot) for about 5 nights in a row - and then gradually expanded the area - each expansion being tested for about 4/5 days also.Good luckDS> Dear ,>> I'd never heard this before. Guest guest
I believe that if taken on an empty stomach it has a better chance of being absorbed in your system. If taken with food then the food may absorb some of the med meaning less effective for you. A previous doc used to tell me to take my daily acidopholus just like that too for maximum effectiveness. Good luck, > Hi , > > Sorry, I should've been more specific in my question. Oops. > > Actually, I have heard of taking antihistamines for the inflammation and > burning.
