Highlighting the event are children singing the National Anthem and throwing the first pitch. In addition to this beautiful way for us to show that our kids can do amazing things, there are also booths filled with autism awareness material for those attending the event to learn about autism and all that our community has to offer. It has, and I’m sure will continue to be, a great event of family fun, awareness and education. As we begin to think about Baseball for Autism Awareness 2012, we are especially excited because we will be in the new Marlin’s stadium. If you haven’t checked out the stadium, see this link. www.marlins.com/ballpark It’s sure to be an exciting first season. The Marlins have sold an incredible about of season ticket packages already. We would like to reach more families this year that would otherwise be financially unable to take their loved ones to a professional baseball game. We are hoping we can count on our community and their contacts to provide grants/donations for this event. It is our goal to be able to give tickets to families in need, but we need support to make this happen. If you are able, or if your place of business has the ability to support this wonderful South Florida event, many children and their families will benefit immensely. The Autism Society is a non-profit 501c3, so the money donated to our organization is totally tax deductible. 100% of the dollars raised will go to purchase tickets for those in need. Plus, the event brings media exposure that is sure to be a draw for businesses in the area. Please let us know if you or someone you know would be willing to make this commitment that is sure to bring joy to many living with autism in our local community. Respond to this email of call . Warm regards, Stacey
