Guest guest
I do use Vaseline on the area just to be sure that I'm doing all I can to protect against the chemicals. My pool is 75 % seawater and rest chems.DSSubject: Exercising in poolsTo: VulvarDisorders Date: Monday, September 8, 2008, 7:30 PMDear All,My physical therapist thinks exercise in a pool would help me enormously withmy knee, back and shoulder problems. Of course, she also knows that it'scomplicated with vulvodynia. So I have two questions.First, is any pool water safe to excercise in? I guess the options are: typicalchlorinated water (probably a no-no), non-chlorinated water (cleaned by ozone orsome other process), and salt water.Second, would use of petroleum jelly keep the vulva area safe from the badeffects of the pool water?Any other ideas or information would be gratefully accepted.JanetPS I have been symtom free from vulvodynia for several months (thanks totopical Estrace and compounded estriol in jojoba oil base) and thought I wascured. Unfortunately I am having what seems to be a flare of the old symptoms(big sigh).------------------------------------**IF REPLYING TO THIS POST, PLEASE REMOVE ORIGINAL POST, Thanks for your cooperation! *****
