Guest guest
When you use the meds can you wear slacks without pain? Dare I ask if you can wear jeans (what exactly are blue jeans again?LOL) At this point I'm stuck with knee length skirts/dresses without underpants. And I still get a lot of pain. Guest guest
No. I can't wear slacks or jeans at all, ever. Just sweatpants. > > When you use the meds can you wear slacks without pain? Guest guest
mary: take heart. I went thru that phase. I now wear pants and blue jeans. I am careful not to have them tight in the crotch. And somedays I just know are not pants or jeans days. I went thru what you are going thru. Just follow your protocol and you are going to get there too. I know it is a pain to worry about what am I going to put on my bottom. The top is never a problem. Just figuring out what kind of bottom day it is going to be...now that can be the challenge!! love,m l
Guest guest
I've stayed away from pants because I don't want to flare things up, but I have pain free sex and I occasionally wear pants (2x per week or so). I haven't taken meds in three or four months. Lindsey
Guest guest
Well, I'd be thrilled to wear sweat pants. If I need to go out in the winter I can wear them for a short time but I suffer afterwards. I took 2 tramadols yesterday and I think it's helped. > > > > When you use the meds can you wear slacks without pain? Guest guest
I do have faith that this will get better - unfortunately this phase started in May, 2005! But I know that other women have healed and had this pain longer. In the short run if I could just expand my wardrobe a little it would be such a blessing. > > mary: take heart. Guest guest
You know, the weird thing is that I can have pain free sex once a week - but the pain comes after for a couple of days. I don't know what to make of that but at least I can have sex (I use TONS of Slipper Stuff) > > I've stayed away from pants because I don't want to flare things up, but I have pain free sex and I occasionally wear pants (2x per week or so). Guest guest
LOL, I have had this since 1994. I have accepted that I will never heal and be normal like Dee. Once a nerve is irritated it stays irritated forever. (according to lots of folks) I am just fighting for baby steps in the right direction. Hopefully the Spinal Chord Stimulator will be another baby step. > > I do have faith that this will get better - unfortunately this phase > started in May, 2005! Guest guest
Hi, , The piece about your nerve being irritated forever once it's irritated isn't always true, but I know it is for some. Keep up the good fight. The body has amazing abilities to heal. Lindsey > > > > I do have faith that this will get better - unfortunately this phase > > started in May, 2005! Guest guest
Yes, IF I have irritation after sex it's usually the day or two afterwards. My PT said that's like muscle irritation after overdoing a workout. You don't usually feel it until the next day or so. But it has gotten progressively better. Guest guest
Yeah, me too, it is the next day and it lasts a few days. I think the muscle goes into a spasm and that sets off the nerve. That is why I am working on stretching and massaging the muscle so it will be more tolerant and not go into a spasm. Also, several PT's have told me that I have the ability to *control* that muscle and make it not go into a spasm!!! How to learn that! > > Yes, IF I have irritation after sex it's usually the day or two > afterwards. My PT said that's like muscle irritation after overdoing a > workout. Guest guest
I used to wear pants and jeans and just suffer. I was totally in denial. I finally went out and put tons of vulva-friendly clothes on my credit card and honestly I felt emotionally so much better. I got longish skirts, shorter loose skirts, thigh-high stockings, hot boots, harem pants (I belly dance anyways), really sexy tops to go with the loose, long skirts so I didn't look like I was a plural wife or something, thigh high socks to keep my legs warm, jersey palazzo pants and jersey gaucho pants, etc. I stopped wearing pajama bottoms at night and got a bunch of nightgowns-sporty ones, slinky ones. I wear them with kneesocks in the winter time or leg warmers. My husband actually really likes it. It took a ton of pressure off me and I think it helped with my recurrent infections to let things "breathe" down there. Lindsey
Guest guest
yup, I sit with legs up and air breathing on the area even when I am pain free. good suggestions. ml
Guest guest
VULVA-FRIENDLY clothes, LOL. I am okay with cotton panties. I wear nylon shorts with liners. No panties, no seam. Very short shorts, they are also sexy looking. I also wear lightweight shorts where the crotch of the shorts is a mile below my crotch. My daughter likes to tease me about my " poofy " shorts. I wear short skirts with those thigh-high stockings from Target. They are really attractive stockings anyway. I have done a lot of stuff to overcompensate for my lack of sexuality. I wear really high heels even if I don't need them just to look sexy. I wear eyeliner and lipstick and foundation every day. I rarely go out of the house without looking as fetching as I can. > > I used to wear pants and jeans and just suffer. I was totally in denial.
