I started using kefir about 2 yearsand 4 months ago, then lost it last summer and started it up again this last February because the family was suffering from the flu and a few of the kids were suffering from yeast/fungal infections. Immediately the flues stopped. Now 3.5 months later we no longer have no longer have stuffed noses, huge reduction in yeast problems for the family AND > I don't want a slice of bread or a baked potatoe or pasta or sweets and have lost about 8 pounds over the last 3 weeks! > > I think what is happening is a cycle where the yeast creates a demand cycle for carbs which demands more water which demands more carbs. I've noticed with both times I started using kefir that it took about 3 months for the desires to be noticeably changed. Also, in general, I have suffered from an extreme sweet tooth and over eating. Both of these have changed a lot over the last 3 weeks. > > Has anyone else suffered from a powerful sweet tooth? > > Rondi >>>>>>>>>>>>Hello Rondi, I have and still do consume quite a bit of homemade yogurt. I've been wanting to make kefir but haven't gotten to it. Someone is sending grains soon as I request them, but I just been bogged down with old projects and haven't requested. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll re-energize knowing the kefir may help with this problem. Dennis
