Guest guest
Well, I went to my Lyme Dr. yesterday and we talked a lot about vulvodynia (which he fortunatly knows a lot about). We think its part of my Lyme as it is listed as a symptom and so many women lymies have this symptom. BUT I mentioned that there are many causes of Vulvodynia (and that we could treat the sypmtoms but we should try to find and treat the actual cause) and I started listing them... when I got to hormone imbalance a light bulb went off (I could see it over his head). He mentioned a former patient of his that had horrible hormone issues but blood tests always showed she was fine. He did a saliva test and it showed many imbalances, she's on bio-identical hormones and doing so much better. So....I am doing the saliva test - have to wait for the right day in my cycle. I fill up four tubes with salive (at least half way) at certain times during the day and then send the test in. Have any of you had this test? It doesn't feel like I have hormone imbalances - in fact I've been having very nice cycles since I started " Adrenal Support " (an herbal tincture) and I'm also on Armour Thyroid BUT I am happy to be doing the test to see if I indeed do have an imbalance. I think (hope) I'm close to menopause so this could potentiall help.
