Guest guest
As I posted before I was diagnosed w/HPV with a test I had along with my last pap. I was surprised having been married 30 years and never knowing this. After 20 yrs married, during a stressful time my vulvar turned 2 strips of red and felt itchy, burney and a biopsy showed abnormal cells. I was treated w/FU5 cream and it was okay. Now looking back, this was the HPV affecting me. Since finding out I tested positive for HPV I went to the gyn on Friday & had the vinegar solution and a coposcopy and she took 3 vulvar biopsies and 1 cervical biopsy. Although I've never had a bad pap,I'm thinking there is a connection between HPV and some vulvar issues. When I looked in the archives under HPV someone was questioning this back in 1999 but had no answers at the time. It's strange that every gyn who's seen me including Eliz say it looks like healthy tissue although red/brown with red lesions that they call " hymen tissue residue " . I'm very nervous about these results that I have to wait for 2 weeks. Other biopsies I've had just showed inflammation and 1 time embedded yeast. The biopsies must be healing and I feel very, very itchy. Kathy
Guest guest
I have never had sex, etc but was diagnosed with HPV and learned that anyone can get HPV. I had my HPV dealt with in 2001 after I got diagnosed and have had no more problems with it. I found out in one of the episodes of The Doctors that about 50% of women will get HPV during their life time.
