Is it Gardnerella in 's case?

vagina. As long as the good bacteria (lactobacilli) outnumber the

Gardnerella it's OK. It's when something changes the balance of good

and bad bacteria that you (I) get BV. BV is an imbalance of the

bacteria that live in the vagina.

any good bacteria in my vagina. Don't know why. I'm peri menopausal,

so maybe that's it. But, I am going to ask my doctor if the bacteria

can become resistant. I think it's a good question.

Hi :

I'm not exactly sure how much time, it depends when I get back to the doctor for a culture. I go to the doctor so often that she finds it before I even have any symptoms about half of the time. I have gone back in two weeks and had it and also in a month or two. I don't think I go longer then 2 months without it. Yes, I am prone to yeast. I got it before I started getting BV. My vulvodynia started after a yeast infection. I also have Group B Strep. No HPV, HSV or STDS.

Have you considered using an antifungal with the Flagyl? I always start taking Nystatin when I start treatment for BV. I just finished Tindamax yesterday, but I'm still taking Nystatin for a few more days. I'm feeling a little yeasty today.

Have you considered using another form of treatment? Tindamax or Cindessee?? The thing I hate about the antibiotics is that they mess up my stomach. I have a doctor appointment on Oct 13, so I will let you know what is growing in me then.
