Guest guest
Emg was painful for me also and left me with lingering pain. Try keeping heat on the area if it feels good. If not, maybe ice it or apply a pain relief product like Bengay or Icy hot. Take advil if you can. I had a napping sleep study and was supposed to have an all nighter but never did. They did find I had involuntary jerking in my legs during that study. I may go for it another time though, as I do not sleep well at all. They hook up EEG and EKG stuff, plus a pulse oximeter - you are " wired " for sound so to speak and you sleep. The room I was in was very comfortable and while it was weird having all that equipment on me, well, it was so they could see what I was (or wasn't doing) while I slept. That's how they found out I have severe obstructive sleep apnea. The 2nd time I had it done, they actually had a cpap machine (continuous positive airway pressure) hooked up to me as well and it took the technician bumping it up to 19 (out of 20) before my episodes of stopping breathing ceased. I now use a bi-pap machine and find it works quite well. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general. 2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better. 3. To unsubscribe the e-mail is: Fibromyalgia_Support_Group-unsubscribe 4. Also, it is not uncommon for more than one member to be feeling bad at the same time when it comes to flares and b/c of that potentially take something another member says the wrong way. And that includes the things that one member may find funny (even if it's laughing at fibro itself) even though we who deal with illness whether one such as fibro or multiple illnesses try to keep a sense of humor. 5. Pls let's be gentle with each other, and if you are having a bad day pls let us know so that we can do our best to offer our support. Have a nice day everyone.
