Conversation with a friend

I really wanted to have more time to write about a phone call I had

with a friend I used to work and " do lunch with " most days 10 years

ago, but the temperatures here have gotten so low and I am not near a

heat register, so my hands are very cold. What I found really odd was

that she did not remember how difficult it was for me at times! I

know that she had to have known I saw a massage therapist quite

frequently and also think that among the group of us, we weren't shy

about mentioning anything --- Lord knows there were many a day when

all of the doctors in the pharma company's lunch room were staring at

us or wanted to find a vacant table close to us --- we had some really

wild discussions. Perhaps tomorrow, my hands will not be freezing and

I can write more --- but it was strange to realize she either didn't

remember that I had problems or I just had such a good time laughing

with that group, the pain wasn't so bad!
