Pearl Ann is on azathioprine, but is being watched closely by her

doctor because of her PSC. I am not sold on this yet and have only

just begun to realize the implications. I would be interested to find

out if you find out anything else, too. Pearl's Crohn's is being

treated by Remicade, steroids and azathioprine right now.

My son age 3 has Chrons and PSC. He is curently on azothiaprine...I

am not sure about it either...the doctors say it is a life time

disease and you have to outway the good with the bad...Prednisone

gives an immediate relief for my son from the pain. You should not be

on it long though and it lower your immune system so you are at risk

for other infections. If you can do a liquid diet for a while to give

relief that may help also. My son was on a feeding tube for 8 weeks

and it was great nutrition and it also helped relieve his pain right

away. His stomach was very big and hard, on the liquid diet it almost

immediatley was soft and back to normal. Let me know if this helps

you...and feel free to ask anymore questions.
